Organisers of The Game Fair have taken a huge step in securing its future, with dates and venues already set for the next six years; new venue, Hatfield House in Hertfordshire, will be hosting the 2017, 2019, and 2021 fairs, while the familiar Ragley Hall in Warwickshire maintains the alternate years of 2016, 2018 and 2020.

Hatfield House, home to the seventh Marquess of Salisbury, is a stunning 1,000-acre estate made up of rivers, shooting ground, forestry, lakes, and open parkland. The estate also has its own railway station and a fantastic road network, making it the ideal venue for this highly attended event.

Lord and Lady Salisbury commented on the news: “Everyone at Hatfield is delighted that The Game Fair will take place in the Park in 2017. This is a special event which will celebrate the best of British rural life.”

Managing Director of The Game Fair, James Gower added: “Having grown up in Hertfordshire and living within walking distance of the estate, I can honestly say that I can’t think of a better southern-based location for The Game Fair.

“The continuity of our two venues will allow the industry to plan over the longer term and we also look forward to welcoming our usual guests as well as the next generation of Game Fair visitors until 2021 and beyond.”

The announcement was commended by those in the industry, including Managing Director at EJ Churchill, Rob Fenwick. He said: “The Game Fair organisers should be applauded for their planning and foresight. Geographically, Hatfield House is in a near-optimum location, with its ability to pull a London crowd while providing easy access for Game Fair regulars. The venue perfectly complements that of Ragley Hall.”
