There is always an embarrassment of riches for art lovers at the CLA, never more ably demonstrated than by the ‘Game On’ exhibition by the internationally acclaimed and collected artist John Trickett on the Sally Mitchell Fine Arts Stand. Described by a major sporting publication as “The finest painter of black labradors in the world,” this exhibition includes approximately 30 oil paintings on display, ranging from a number of delightful small game bird and dog studies right up to the more intricate action scenes such as the stunning ‘A Running Flush’ where we see a black and white springer flushing an English partridge. BASC and Rivers West launch shooting clothing collection:
BASC has joined forces with Rivers West to launch a new range of range of waterproof and windproof game shooting clothing from their award winning waterproof fleece design.
The collection includes a traditional shooting jacket, shooting coat, waistcoat, breeks and flat cap. Most of the collection is fully lined, incorporates brass zippers and snaps, and comes with suede shoulders and trim. It will be available for people to view on the BASC stand and purchase at selected retailers at the game fair, and five per cent of the trade price of the new Heritage Collection will be donated to BASC’s youth appeal.
There are lots of shooting accessories to whet your appetite and we will be seeking out the new additions from Gerber knives.
Gerber products will be available to buy on more stands than ever, right across the feature areas of the show, and including products from the new Myth Hunting range, Gerber Essentials and the famous Gerber Bear Grylls Survival Series.
