After getting jiggy with the Lightforce catalogue, we have secured this brilliant HID 170 handheld lamp as an extra prize!

It’s still a few months before we announce the overall winner of our Ultimate Shooting Vehicle. However, having been thoroughly suffused by festive cheer in recent weeks, we thought that we would enter into the spirit of giving.

Previously we went to Nick Kerner 4 Wheel Drive to get our Lightforce driving lamps and roof lamp fitted. And while we were raiding the Lightforce selection box, we picked out one of the latest HID foxing lamps as a bonus prize for one lucky reader.

We have used this new lamp before and it offers a number of benefits – most notably the ideal combination of greater light output with less power consumption, giving you greater range when shooting and longer between battery charges.

The 170 HID weighs in at just 870g, thanks to a strong but lightweight composite construction. Its 35 watt Xenon HID bulb delivers 3200 Lumens – superior performance to a regular 100 watt equivalent with half the power consumption. It comes with a 12v adapter so it will work off your vehicle’s cigarette lighter socket or any suitable 12v power source. Visit www.ruag.co.uk or www.lightforce.com to find out more.

So it’s actually a double-value entry. If you enter the Great Wall competition you will also be entered into the draw to win the lamp as well. Or, to look at it another way, if you fancy winning this superb lamp, text the answer to the question above right and we will also enter you into the main draw for the Ultimate Shooting Vehicle. And the more times you enter, the better your chances of winning!

Next up for the Ultimate Shooting Vehicle is a bit of rear-end action to increase functionality.

The plan is to get a custom-fitted gun drawer and perhaps some luxury accommodation for a four-legged friend. We’ve been having a good look at this year’s game fairs (or at least, the ones that weren’t rained off!) and there are some brilliant solutions out there.

The advantages in terms of security and safety when travelling with firearms and animals, but without compromising on practicality, should be plain to see. Find out more next time.
