Staffordshire Moorlands rabbits are now getting frisky, fur scratchings around the burrows & I see the odd pair chasing each other around in the last dregs of the afternoon sunshine, but the night shift are not out in big numbers yet. I just shoot a brace for the pot every other week - let them re-group again. Good hunting Neil

Up here in Weardale the bunnies have taken a right pounding this winter ,there are dead rabbits all over the place where I shoot, but I have no doubt they will be back in force this spring.

Hi sure when the weather warms up they'll be back, farmers been shooting loads just around the farm for the past couple of months, with the snow they have been chewing through the wrap on the silage bales to feed.

I live in the dales and the populations have had mixed success at surviving. One thing though is that when we had the snow down for a month 4 estates shot over 6000 rabbits. Thats gotta hurt!!!
