hi trigger, firstly always make sure it's dry when you have hafd it out in wet /damp conditions and make sure the storage is in a dry dampfree place, you will probably have to reblue if it is at the stage of feeling lumpy either byu rubing off and rebluing yourself or taking it in to your gunsmiths, alb, Ian.

it pays to keep an old oil gun oil rag one that ids barely damp from oil and give your rifles and shotguns a quick rub over on the outside before storing for any length of time ,good luck , Ian.

G'day trigger 123. The man is right of course. A wipe over can save a thousand woes. When all is clean I use some G-96 spray which is a cleaner keeper and all round useful stuff. I wipe this over and do not touch any metal befpre putting pet Lanber or CZ .22 beddie byes into the safe. The G96 has a high reputation here and a spray can goes a long way. Regards removing the rust any money spent at a good gunsmith/shop is well spent. Fully recommend. Cheers!

My advice is when you get home from shooting have a cup of tea before cleaning your gun. That way the gun is up to room temp and less likely to be affected by condensation. Also I put my guns in a inhibitor sock like this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/INHIBITOR-GUN-SOCK_W0QQite mZ260443503985QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_SportingGood s_Hunting_ShootingSports_ET?hash=item3ca3a47d71 r In addition to this I have a Napier VP90 Corrosion Inhibitor in my gun cabinet like http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Napier-VP90-Corrosion-Inhi bitor-protect-guns-in-storage_W0QQitemZ220362920 144QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_SportingGoods_Hunting_S hootingSports_ET?hash=item334ea750d0
