early season
hi, inspite of all the cold and snow things seem to be happening early this year last week i had in mt hand a young hare of about two weeks , it must ahve been born in the snow the first week in february . another poster on this site has said he's got pigeons nesting where he lives and yesterday on our bird table was a black cap whioch we don't ussualy see until the end of march beginning of april, has anyone else noticed anything happening early , having said that the snow drops where about two weeks late this year let me know .Ian.

Hi.ian,
i noticed today while cutting firewood that theres is things happening at last,i heard tawny owls hooting,lots of smaller birds
chirping,flying from tree to tree,trying to attract the ladies.
all this happening with still a foot of snow on the ground.happy daze.
