Me neither! Just been reading the mails about the anti-hunt lobbyists who are members of this site too! My daughter has cat, she'd be horrified. What the hell is going on to post a picture like that?

Even if it's a feral, might have wanted to think about posting it first. Don't you? It really looks bad!

Feral or not? Why give people who only see it as "a *replaced* cat" chance to have a go.I have lived in the country all my life and love fishing, hunting, and shooting and I still don`t need to see your dead cat.But it`s your future your throwing away if you give the anti`s photo`s like that, let them get there own! they will and soon enough. I had most of my shooting day`don`t spoil yours.Jez

Ok it’s a feral cat. But would you agree it looks bad on this site to post it? Feral or not any non-shooter looking at this is 100% guaranteed to think it distasteful, as they are happy to eat the tasty animals but would baulk at killing the "nice fluffy ones".

That`s also a sign of the times I should have put fluffy or kitty cat because you get P***ycat censored making my post sound daft.Going for a walk may get chance at a feral Editor. Jez.

Sorry to offend yas lads! I only posted it because i seen a pic off a feral cat in the galleries. And let me asure you i dont go shooting every cat dat comes onto my land just the problem ones same with the foxes! Sorry if the picture upset ur daugher. Try to explain dis is not a pet and never was! Uk research has an estimate that cats catch up to 275 MILLION prey animals ayear 55 MILLION off dem are birds! A far cry from a playing with a bit off string..

Totally agree Chris, wild bird populations are dwindling and cats, feral or not, play a bit part. I'm 100% behind controlling any pest (apologies if posted a comment before I looked back through the previous posts, but if I can initially see it as "a cat" then the anti's will have a field day, and we are one more step away from losing a field sport. No offence taken Chris, just don't give these "people" opportunity to point fingers. And that includes me too; I've had my 4 x 4 keyed due to the BASC window sticker! Good job its only little more than a skip. Have a good day and please don’t think I’m a bigot or trying to tell you how to live your life. I can assure you I’m just a working class guy

hi jeffers thanks for posting the picture again it might just educate the none shooters that come pocking their noses into these forums what the diference is between a pet cat like the one i have and a ferrel like the one in the picture , ferral cats to a tremendous amount of admage in the countryside with no one feeding them only themselves they become fox like in there habits killing indescrminately , you did the right thing chriss protecting your stock , but i would say one thing make sure it's ferral before you shoot because the first time a pet goes missing they will blame you even if it isn't .it's the way things are i'm afraid maybe telling your neibours before hand what you are doing about the cats and getting a list of cats your niebours have so they can see you are noyt intending to hurt their pets . all the best ,Ian.
